Job Summary:
The Senior Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning programs that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate business needs into effective training solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage training programs across the organization, including onboarding, technical, soft skills, leadership, and compliance training.
- Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) to identify gaps and recommend learning interventions.
- Collaborate with business leaders to align learning programs with organizational goals and talent development strategies.
- Design and deliver high-quality, engaging learning content using various methods: classroom training, e-learning, workshops, webinars, and blended learning.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Mentor and coach employees to support career growth and leadership development.
- Maintain learning management systems (LMS), track employee progress, and generate reports on training impact.
- Stay updated with the latest L&D trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve programs.
- Manage external training vendors and consultants, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Support succession planning and talent pipeline initiatives by identifying high-potential employees and recommending development programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in Learning & Development, corporate training, or talent development.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and training methodologies.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Moodle).
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; data-driven approach to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, or leadership development programs is a plus.
